A Family-Owned Collision Repair Shop Built on Trust
Butler’s Collision began in 1979 with a simple goal: repair vehicles the right way while treating customers with honesty, respect, and professionalism.
What started as a local family business in Roseville has grown into one of Macomb County’s most trusted collision repair facilities, serving generations of drivers throughout Roseville, Fraser, Clinton Township, Warren, St. Clair Shores, Sterling Heights, and surrounding communities.
Over the decades, vehicles have changed dramatically. Modern cars now include advanced safety systems, high-strength structural materials, sensors, cameras, and manufacturer-specific repair procedures that require ongoing training and precision.
Through every stage of that evolution, Butler’s Collision has remained committed to proper repair standards, continuous education, and doing the job right—not simply doing it quickly.
Today, the shop continues to operate with the same values it was founded on in 1979: personal service, professional results, and repairs focused on safety, quality, and long-term reliability.
Multi-Generational Experience That Matters
Collision repair is not something our team learned overnight.
In the late 1990s, a third generation of the family entered the business when Daniel Schnepper began working in the shop while attending high school. Learning the trade from the ground up, Daniel gained hands-on experience in every stage of the repair process before later earning his business degree and additional industry certifications.
That real-world experience continues to shape how Butler’s Collision operates today—combining traditional craftsmanship with modern repair technology, evolving manufacturer standards, and clear customer communication throughout the repair process.
For customers, that means working with a team that understands both the technical side of collision repair and the importance of trust during a stressful situation.
I-CAR Gold Class Certified Collision Repair
Butler’s Collision is proud to be an I-CAR Gold Class certified repair facility—one of the collision industry’s highest recognized training achievements.
This certification reflects an ongoing commitment to:
- advanced collision repair training
- OEM repair procedures
- evolving vehicle technologies
- structural repair standards
- refinishing and safety protocols
Modern vehicles are engineered with highly specific repair requirements. Improper repairs can affect structural integrity, airbag timing, sensor calibration, and overall vehicle safety.
That’s why our technicians continuously train to stay current with evolving repair procedures and manufacturer standards—helping ensure repairs are completed safely, accurately, and correctly.
Industry Leadership Beyond the Shop Floor
Butler’s Collision has not only invested in training within our own facility—we have also helped support the collision repair industry as a whole.
Owner Roy Schnepper has served on the I-CAR International Board of Directors, contributing to an organization dedicated to advancing technical education and safe repair standards throughout the collision repair industry.
I-CAR is a nonprofit training organization focused on improving repair quality, technician education, and complete, safe vehicle repairs across the industry.
This level of involvement reflects Butler’s Collision’s long-standing commitment to staying ahead of evolving repair standards and vehicle technology.
Repairs Based on OEM Procedures — Not Guesswork
Today’s vehicles are far more complex than they were even ten years ago.
Many vehicles now contain:
- advanced safety systems (ADAS)
- radar sensors and cameras
- high-strength steel and aluminum structures
- engineered crumple zones
- manufacturer-specific repair procedures
At Butler’s Collision, we follow OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) repair procedures whenever applicable to help restore vehicles according to documented manufacturer standards.
From frame repair and structural alignment to refinishing and replacement parts, every stage of the repair process is approached with safety, fit, finish, and long-term reliability in mind.
